What is a DTF Transfer?
Direct to film transfers (DTF) are a printing technology that prints designs onto special films using digital inks and a powder adhesive coating. The films can be transferred onto fabrics, plastics, acrylic, and much more using a heat press. DTF can work on cotton, polyester, cotton/poly blends and many other fabrics with no pre treatment required. DTF is different from heat transfer vinyl because it does not need cutting and weeding. DTF is the newest technology in printing and can be more cost-effective than other digital transfers.
Our new direct to film printer is a stand-alone wide format DTF printer built with production speeds in a compact reduced footprint. Designed to create water based heat seal film transfers this amazing system combines DTG, Print & Cut, Screen Printing & White Toner into one simple product. The transfers produce soft vibrant images with no requirement for pre-treatment or weeding no matter what colour the fabric is. The printer benefits from dual print head technology, producing a full colour transfer including white ink in a single pass faster than the many processes it can replace.
Premium inks
Our direct to film printer can produce vibrant transfer prints with excellent stretch and durability in the wash. The transfers also have a white backing layer of ink, allowing colors to standout against all colors of fabric. Suitable for clothing, polyester, cotton & performance sports wear.
